Check In
Check in/out time is Saturday 12pm to Saturday 12pm Colorado time.
Payment
50% non-refundable down payment is required at the time of booking.
The rest is due 2-weeks before your stay and is also non-refundable.
Pets
The fee for pets is $50 per week. 1 pet maximum. Must be house trained.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed indoors. Please do not litter.
Fires
Because McHaven is in the woods, there are no fires permitted on the grounds. Please use the fireplace inside or the gas grill. There is a fire extinguisher and smoke alarm at the cabin. Wood is also provided for you to use in the fireplace.
Stove
The stove is a smooth top stove and the direction to clean is in the cabin.
Grill
You are welcome to use our gas BBQ grill. Please clean it before you leave.
Dish Rags
There will be knitted dishrags in the drawer in the kitchen. You may take one
to use the week you are there. Please take it home with you and enjoy. I have
enough for all the renters to take one so be sure and do just that. Don’t use them
as potholders since they are not heavy enough to keep you from burning your
hands.
Things to do when leaving…
- Cabin cleaned thoroughly, stove, frig, bathroom, etc
- Please run vacuum sweeper before leaving. If you need vacuum bags they are
in the kitchen cabinet. Sweep and clean all floors. - Kitchen stove turned off and cleaned.
- Turn furnace to lowest setting.
- All trash taken to dumpster.
- Unplug all appliances
- Pull all drapes closed.
- Turn off pump and electric water heater switches at meter box. Put the keys back
in the meter box and lock combination back and scatter numbers.
There is a notebook in the cabin. We would love to have you write and let us know the
highlight of your vacation. Also, if you have food and do not want to throw away or
take home please let the next renter know. If you have any suggestions to make your
stay more comfortable please leave us a note as we want to do all we can to make your
vacation the best we can.
We love our cabin and we treat it as we do our home. The only way we can continue to rent it is if you help us take care of it. The cabin must be cleaned thoroughly before you leave as you agreed to do so when renting.
